easter wrap up
Easter morning, after egg hunting, but before family gathering time, we took the kids for some quick photos in a field of wild flowers right by our house.
The kids were somewhat cooperative, and I was left somewhat pleased.

happy easter-ing.
Thanks to the Pannikin craft day, Karin Grow and a little ingenuity, the kids and I were able to add some Easterness to our house this week. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend....

special project - scrumptious schoolyards
Cardiff School has an amazing food program that teaches healthy eating choices. A few teachers are also starting an edible schoolyard program that is enhancing the landscape while providing organic veggies and fruit for lunch and snack. Scrumptious Schoolyards is the name of the project. Amazing stuff.
I was happy to create a fun logo for their newly created non-profit.

behind the scenes
some random recent iphone pics of a job I did for stitches summer 2011. It was a hot,
but fun day.
Working along side amazingly creative people always makes for a memorable day.

pickin' in morro bay
I have a real love of old stuff.
I guess it all makes sense, I spent a lot of time at the Leucadia flea market where my parents had a booth when I was a kid.
Last week, Tim, the kids and I headed up to Morro Bay to visit with family. I expected otters, shell shops and clam chowder, what I didn't expect was great antique and junk stores with unbelievable prices.
a few of my favorites:
okay, okay, I will admit these horse plaques are a little kooky. But the colors are just so lovely in person. And they were very affordable, especially the top one who suffered some water damage. They now live in our bedroom. I think I would like to find some more.
We also picked up this Mason jar. It has a little chip on it, so the price was right. Tim and I 'upcycled' it into a dish soap dispenser.
I just wish this level of picking closer to home. Well, maybe there is, I just haven't found it yet.

change is good.
I used to have a blog about my stay-at-home-mom-and-try-not-to-go-insane adventures. But times are a changing...
While I still have three kids (& a dog!), I also have kids at school and time to pursue my dream career as a prop stylist.
So this is an attempt to blog with my husband about design, styling, & our amazing creative life.
I hope you stick around and enjoy the ride.
