pickin' in morro bay

I have a real love of old stuff.
I guess it all makes sense, I spent a lot of time at the Leucadia flea market where my parents had a booth when I was a kid.

Last week, Tim, the kids and I headed up to Morro Bay to visit with family. I expected otters, shell shops and clam chowder, what I didn't expect was great antique and junk stores with unbelievable prices.

a few of my favorites:

okay, okay, I will admit these horse plaques are a little kooky. But the colors are just so lovely in person. And they were very affordable, especially the top one who suffered some water damage. They now live in our bedroom. I think I would like to find some more.

We also picked up this Mason jar. It has a little chip on it, so the price was right. Tim and I 'upcycled' it into a dish soap dispenser.

I just wish this level of picking closer to home. Well, maybe there is, I just haven't found it yet.
